  • Qualifications in coaching and mentoring and in the use of psychometric tests
  • Worked for two established international consultancies, and has a wealth of commercial experience, as an HR and Employee Development Manager as well as a line manager in retail and field marketing organisations
Consultancy experience

Sara's consultancy experience has focused on helping organisations become more effective by improving their people processes and capability. Her work has included:

  • Leadership Development, including coaching and 360 degree feedback, e.g. developing senior managers using emotional intelligence, managerial style and organisational climate in the education sector
  • Improving team effectiveness: strategy clarification workshops and senior management team development programmes
  • Coaching for performance improvement, for teams and individuals including career management, and developing managers to be effective coaches
  • Building competency frameworks, job families and role profiles to bring about greater clarity for individuals and managers, for a variety of organisations including a high street retailer, a government agency, an engineering company, a management consultancy, an advertising services provider and the IT department of a bank
  • Designing and implementing competency based HR processes such as recruitment and development. This has involved designing assessment and development centres, conducting focused interviews and providing ongoing coaching support
